We want to share an important update regarding our fees, effective March 1, 2025.
We have carefully considered this change, reflecting our profession’s complexity of care.
Why the Change?
As of February 1, 2025, the Alberta Government reduced the fees it reimburses for essential eye care services. These cuts come after nearly a decade without any adjustments for inflation, leaving reimbursement rates far below the actual cost of providing care. With the new reductions, this gap has widened further, making it unsustainable to continue absorbing these costs.

We have given this decision careful consideration and introducing a small fee for appointments is the only way we can continue providing the quality of care you deserve.
This change will allow us to:
- Maintain our high standard of care with state-of-the-art diagnostic tools and technology.

- Ensure we can serve you and your family for years to come.
New Fees (Effective March 1, 2025)
- Senior Exam Copay Eye Exam: $55. Includes pictures and OCT imaging.
- $95.00 for Seniors advanced health testing, (visual fields, dilation, OCT and OCT A)
- Child Exam Copay (6+ years): $15
- Senior & Child Partial Exams: $50
- Dilation Co-pay $25
