Eye health for all

Dr. Hazel firmly believes in accessible eye health for everyone which lead her to open a community eye clinic to bring optometric services to vulnerable populations. The ALEX Community Health Centre offers support and medical services for people with complex health issues, addiction, mental health concerns and those that need a little extra help to get by. (Unfortunately due to COVID restrictions this clinic is now closed).

With her mobile clinic she has been providing eye care to the Heartland schools which care for children with developmental and physical delays from difficult backgrounds. Dr. Hazel has also brought her mobile clinic services to Women’s shelters and nursing homes to better serve those who need eye care.
